Julia, Lindsay, Kate, Rachel, and Christine at Clarendon day 2007!

So I gather by looking at the photos that we had a GREAT time last night!  The ladies from Bravo! and all of Kate's D.C. friends were so much fun and it was a late night.  We slept in some and got dressed, picked up Christine, and headed to get breakfast at Table Talk.  The parking lot was crammed and I was expecting a bit of a wait but we got a table fairly quickly.  the service was deplorable (at first) but I tried the garbage omelet with a bloody mary on the side.  The bloody mary was a little lacking, but hey, I am from Louisiana and have high expectations.  The omelet was really good, and it was HUGE!  After brunch, we went back to Lindsay's apartment and watched the LSU game/took a nap.  I did a little bit of both.  After nap time, we got cleaned up and headed to a street festival that Lindsay had heard about.

It was called Clarendon day and it was pretty cool.  They had alot of vendors and musicians and only one (count that again: ONE) beer truck that ran out (after 36  kegs) right when we got there.  Kate and I chatted up a cool photographer and Lindsay bought some rather large silver hoops.  After perusing the goods, we all headed into a restaurant Whitlows on Wilson and had dinner and beer.  We left Christine at the festival and went home to clean up and meet up with Lindsay's friends.

So they're interesting girls and the girls night out was different.  First stop: Crystal City Sports Bar (?) and from seeing this location I had hope.  It was a bar.  cool!  With football on the TVs and beer on tap!!!!  They all conversed between themselves and decided that we were going to go to 1223 near Dupont Circle.

And here we have.......
Now don't be confused... the name is supposed to be in all roman numerals but I can't remember that much and didn't write it down.  All ten of us crammed into two cabs and made it there safely.  There was a huge line... like a 45 minute wait to get into this place but one of Lindsay's friends made some phonecalls and we were in with upper echelon VIP status.  We hiked up to the third floor (which was pretty deserted!) and ordered drinks.  We treked up and down the three flights of stairs a couple of times before finally staying on the top floor.  It got crowded.  The music got loud.  You couldn't sit your butt down on the beds or tables unless you bought them.... yes, bought them.  One of the girls there was offered illegal substances by the bathroom attendant.
The DJ was gonig crazy and she was spazing all over the place... yes she loved her job!

So after getting the minimum on our bar tab, we left Lindsay and blew that joint to head to a real bar that actually served beer.  We ended up at Buffalo Billiards, ordered some beer and had some chicken fingers.  The bartenders were pretty crazy.  One had actually lived in NOLA, one had a mohawk, and one was a complete dork!  Some scary guy bought us shots and then tried to touch Julia's necklace and the mohawk bartender went crazy on him and said "dude, personal space, personal space, she doesn't want you to touch her...".  Scary guy ended up going home with a drag queen, I believe.  We caught a cab back to the apartment and went to bed.  It was a fun night!
