Along Neva River
Walking the roofs
I had to make a special entry for this. Because St. Petersburg roofs are an essencial part of this city, something it is famous for, something like Hermitage or channels or drawbridges. A lot of movies are shot on the roofs, it is one of the most popular settings in St. Petersburg. Everyone wants to go there. Of course if not afraid of height.
I was lucky enough to get there, I have good friends who have good friends of their own. It is not that easy these days, entrances of old buildings are closed.
A part of me, the part that still considers itself a photographer, wishes I took more than I did from this trip to the roofs. I was in the company of 4 beautiful girls, and the setting was so fantastic that I could take some really good pictures. But instead I held my breath, felt the wind in my skin and watched the sunset. I just couldn't take my camera seriously that day.
The funny part is, apart from all other funny parts, we laughed so hard there my stomach hurt, was that the heigh wasn't scary at all. As long as you have good shoes, sloping roofs don't scare. Or maybe it was adrenalin...
