We found out this afternoon about the delays to our flight plans by Aerolineas and boarded our flight very worried about exactly how long it was going to take us to get where we were headed and wondering whether our tickets would still be ok.  Well.....  on arrival in Auckland it took approximately two hours to first of all track down the Aerolineas ticketing office in the Auckland airport and then to check in for our connecting flight to Buenos Aires (when there was no gate open for Aerolineas).  After a very boring and frustrating wait, occasionally talking to various different staff who all told us different things, we were taken by coach to one of the hotels near the Auckland airport.  There we were told our dinner was paid for (if Aerolineas hadnt taken so long to sort things out we would have had lunch too) and we would be taken back to the airport at 11.30.  We all decided that was WAAAY too early given that we had already checked in and caught a bus at 1.30 a.m. 31 August.  31 August ended up being a really really really long day.

Sabremoose! What a start to the trip. Hopefully you arrived safe, sound and somewhat excited (if not completely shattered from a long long journey!). Am looking forward to hearing how amazing the Inca trail was too ;-) Have a blast - from a very envious Mingle
