Brasov (Don't break the speed limit!)

Brasov is my faourite place in Romania so far.
It's a colourful and hospitable town with a beautiful street mall, excellent restaurants, friendly pubs and endless options for day trip in the surrounding area.
Again, we didn't book ahead, rather arrived at the information center (city square, there are sugn posts everywhere in town) and the friendly workers suggested a hotel and helped with the booking. Accomodation was slightly dearer than in Sinaia, but our hotel included breakfast and dinner.
We enjoyed just walking around town, or sitting in one of the many bars and restaurants.
We took 2 daytrip: One to Poiana Brasov, which is nice but very touristic and the other to Bran and Rasnov Castles. Bran was closed, but Rasnov made up for it!
One thing to watch out is the traffic police at the entrance to Brasov. We were driving according to the speed limit, but did not realised we entered a city zone (there was no sign!). The police was hiding behind the curve and pulled over all rental cars... Appearantly we were driving 60kph when the speed limit was 50kph... We were proud to receive a 40 leu report, but what the policeman forgot to tell us is that if you don't pay up right on the spot, the report doubles! we ended up paying 80 leu, which wasn't as funny... to sum up -
1. Try not to break the speed limit
2. Pay up right on the spot.
3. You gotta Love Brashov!
