My hotel is brand new, and there is one right next to it being torn down, board by board, by locals. It was the oldest hotel on the island, and the owners of my dive shop/hotel decided to build a new, nicer place and turn the old space of the hotel into a vollyball court. Great, but i'm a little worried about all the drywall that is laying on the floor of the broken building and the random toilets and things flying through the air. As I heard some comedian say once (paraphrased): It's not the wind that scares me, it's what is in the wind...like a buick.
In any case, the woman from the restaurant I eat at told me "dan't worry--it's not life tretnin' jus a little wind' I've got my iPod charged up and I'm going to buy some snacks and water now, so we'll see what the day brings...
