I'm on the plane flying down to Miami right now. We got to the airport about 10:30 am. It took forever to get through check-in. The other girls on the plane waited for me. Because of the new security my family couldn't go past security with me. My mom cried...I felt kind of bad. Adam finally admitted he'd miss me. Matthew told me not to do anything crazy. I told HIM the same thing. My dad was camera happy! He took a lot of pictures, both at home and at the airport. I guess I wasn't that embarrassed. The other six girls parents were doing the same thing. We'll be landing in about 1 1/2 hrs. The chaperones will meet us at baggage claim and take us to Embassy Suites in Ft. Lauderdale. We'll get settled than have our first meeting. I'm so excited!
Ok, so we had some difficulties.
Bad weather delayed our landing by 30 minutes. Then lightning delayed our baggage by 30 min. And THEN our bus broke down on the way to our hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. We overcame that...we all prayed to fix it and then gave our names and cities. Another bus came and I helped load our luggage on the new bus. I had to run like mad to change and get dinner before our first FUAGNEM. Susie introduced people and then talked about chimps in comparision to sin. And you wouldn't know it...but they are TONS alike! We talked about what being a Christian means. Sammy Ward gave our worship. Then our surprise concert...SUPERTONES!! One of my fav bands! They played all songs I knew and two new ones. They also talked about how us girls can be beautiful in God's eyes. After that we got in our groups and met each other. We got our devotionals. I did the individual part and I'm waiting for my roomies to be done to do our group part. Then its to bed cause we have 7:15 breakfast! And LOTS of work tomorrow.
