Leaving Hull

Nath gave me a lift to the station where I found out that the trains were blocked so I had to get a bus instead. After waiting forever outside in the baking heat with all my trek gear, the bus arrived.

Three hours later I arrived in Leeds… I went down to TGI Friday’s and visited Ian who provided me with a free meal and some soft drinks. Dropped my backpack off with Ian and went and caught the bus home. Tried to ring Cookie to borrow his thermarest but as usual he didn’t answer his phone, useless I tell you, absolutely useless that boy is!

I went to sleep about 11 for a bit, waiting for Ian to finish work to pick me up and take me to his to sleep on his sofa before we left for the airport. He rang me at 12.45 and got to his and back to sleep by about 1.30am.
