A leg crunching 49km, 4985 Calorie burning ,cycle along tiny mountain paths began in Krynica at about midday. Nice easy slopes until we reached the road going into Tylwch, all it seemed to do was go up and up, at one point I had to stop as I actually felt the remnants of breakfast trying to make them selves be tasted a second time. Not nice. Any way fighting on to the top of the hill, a nice swooshy part, right down through the village of Tylicz. Apparently this used to be a large city as it was a taxation point on the Austrian border at one time. Carrying on up hill we turned off to go along these path trough the forest- uphill again and then down again back into another village. Missed the turning to go down the village but managed to find a nice little church- apparently there is a painting of General Pilsudski in as he was in charge of this area once upon a time but alas it was locked. Cycling back in toe the valley up the stony path we reached another little chapel, where we attempted to have a bonfire and cook some potatoes. Unfortunately everything being wet we only really ended up with a smouldering mess for a few hours. At least it gave a bit of time for the legs for the cycle back!
