The Death Falls

Within a radius of 8 km you find Ragunda`s well known sights.

The Death Falls ( the biggest disaster in modern time in Sweden).  I`ll be back to tell the tale about The Death Falls when I have learned more about it.

The King Chulalongkorn`s Memory Building (The Thai Pavilion), which is the only one with the King`s septre outside Thailand.

Sweden`s and Norway`s King Oscar II, invited King Chualalongkorn to the World Exhibition of Art and Industry in Stockholm in 1897.

King Chulalongkorn wanted to see more of Sweden. King Oscar II recommended him to make a tour of Northern Sweden to look at our beautiful rivers and many sawmills.  The journey was made on board his ship Maha Chakri to Härnösand, along the river "Ångermanälven" in a smaller boat to Sollefteå and finally by train to Bispgården

The tale says that in Thailand none was allowed to touch the Royalties.  One day  King Chualalongkorn and his escort were walking down by the sea.  One of the princesses fell into the wather, and no one tried to sawe her, none were allowed to touch her.  But a Swedish sailor did not know this and he jumped into the wather and draged her up.   In gratitude The Royal family build the paviliong.  If the tale is true of false, I do not know, but I like the tale.
