We're travelling to Turkey, Greece, and some Eastern European countries for nearly 6.5 weeks in May - June, 2006. Welcome to our blog to keep friends and family "posted" on our adventures. :)

Warsaw....

We stopped for a night in Warsaw - had a horrific time trying to find our B&B, but they were nice enough to come pick us up from where we were.  Warsaw's old town was totally destroyed in WWII, but was re-built by the Soviets (why, we're not sure - we've made a note to try and look that up later).  They actually did a very decent job, and the result is a delightful "new" old town.  We'd recommend it for a quick stop though, and not significant time...

Our B&B was fantastic - in the morning, after getting up early to make us breakfast before going, they also let us take sandwiches for our 4.5 hour train to Gdansk so we wouldn't starve.  :)
