We had a very early flight from Dubrovnik to Zagreb, leaving Dubrovnik at 6:40am and arriving in Zagreb (Croatia`s capital) at 7:40am. From there we rented a car to drive to an area of Croatia that is a National Park and called Plitvice Lakes National Park. The drive took around 2.5 hours. We spent ALL afternoon at the park. We saw the most waterfalls in one location that we`ve seen ANYWHERE.
I managed to nearly deplete one of our camera`s (a Panasonic FZ3) battery in just one afternoon. That is no small task. We also have reached the point in our trip where we are very rapidly running out of SD cards for our two digital cameras (yes, we filled the 2Gb card, as well as several smaller ones). We now need to focus on moving the pictures from the cards to a portable mini-hard-drive my Father-in-law lent to us. Thank goodness it stores 20Gb because we still have a little more than 3 weeks to go!!!
In case you couldn`t tell, the parks were gorgous. We`d highly recommend a visit there - just be sure that one of you isn`t a camera dork like me, because you can point and click anywhere and end up with gorgeous photos. :)
