Well, picking up our car wasn`t a problem and on we drove to Bled. The next day, we drove Vsrič Pass, which is the highest mountain pass in Slovenia and comprises of 50 hairpin turns (Bill had fun pretending to be Ralph Schumacher). Although the pass was beautiful, I think we would both agree that the neatest thing of the day was getting back to Bled.
The next day we drove around the Karst area of Slovenia and visited Prejama Castle, Škocjan Caves, and the Lipica Stud Farm (horses, not hot guys, lol). The Castle was built into a cave, very unique. The Caves were ENORMOUS, I can`t recall exactly how tall the tallest cavern was but I believe Bill said we could fit 3 of our home`s lots into the height of the cavern - so I do know it was big. The Horse Farm has 400 acres and 370 horses!
All in all, we have really enjoyed Slovenia. It reminds us very much of Austria (without the huge amounts of tourists), which we both loved when we were there a few years ago.
