São Paulo, Brazil - Night out in São Paulo

São Paulo was truly a pleasant surprise for the both of us. Up until now, all we'd heard about this place was nothing but negativity . . . fortunately though, that's not what we encountered!

One thing's for sure, luckily the weather was perfect while we were passing through because it made a big difference. Usually it's constantly raining according to the folks here, but hey, I guess we brought along the sunshine!! :)

For some, this city is too big and hectic, like most big cities, I guess. Still, I gotta say that the people here were so warm and friendly to us, that we just had a perfect time here. And I could see myself coming back for sure.

The best thing about our visit here, without a doubt, was the time we spent with the Paulistas!! We had the pleasure of being hosted by a fantastic couple, Fenix & Renato. An awesome couple!! They were great to us and really showed us a good time here.

Did some sightseeing with them and even had the pleasure of hanging out with their friends and get a better feeling of the community here.

Oh yeah, we also had the opportunity to attend our first CS gathering too! Another nice evening with interesting folks and good food . . . my first time trying Iranian specialties . . . Tasty!!

The only unpleasant thing that was experienced here was seeing all the little street kids that are put to work by their parents.

São Paulo, Brazil - J&A à São Paulo
It was really sad to see a little 3-year old selling bubble gum, so that his/her mom could go blow it on drugs or alcohol. It was our first encounter with this, and it broke my heart to see it. The horrible thing about it all is that apparently this is very common.

Yet, São Paulo, in itself, was nice. And those of you who can visit the city, don't miss out because you'd be missing out on some of the friendliest people around!!

São Paulo, Brazil - Our new-found friends, Renato & Fenix!!
..
