San José, Costa Rica
We now set out for the capital, San José, and again hitching a ride was like taking candy from a baby! Facilisimo! Lots of people don't like capitals much, but I definitely don't share that feeling. Upon arrival in San José, I automatically felt like I was in another world. Most capital cities we've seen so far, have been pretty run-down and dirty, but not San José.
The city itself was quite nice. There's a very European feel to it, so I felt really comfortable when we got here, even if we did arrive at night. We had travelled all day long, so we were pretty tired by the time we got in to San José. It was quite late and so now we had to figure out how to get to our CS friend's house safe and sound. Good thing was that we didn't feel scared or intimidated at all about going about in the city by night. So we took the bus, and a real one at that, no more chicken buses here! And we got to our destination with no problems.
The next day we set out into town to do a bit of sightseeing, and sadly enough there weren't many interesting things to see and do here! So, even though our stay was a good one, it was pretty uneventful!
