Onward to Cobán, in the center of Guatemala. And what a pain it was to get there!!
The roads in Guatemala are REALLY bad, which makes traveling here a bit of a pain!! My patience is coming in very handy at the moment!
Yet despite the burden of getting around here, our lucky star keeps on shining on us!
Funny story: when we finally got to Cobán itself, a young lady comes running out of a hotel, where we got dropped off, and hands us some keys to a room that’s all paid for! She says, "Do you need a hotel? Take my room!" and hands us over the keys to her hotel room! Crazy, but how perfect for us!
The room wasn’t anything special, but hey better than being out on the streets at night!
And after a well-rested night we checked out Cobán a bit. Not much to see, sort of a pit-stop before heading to Semuc Champey. So off we go!!
