Cobán, Guatemala
October 10, 2007
Onward to Cobán, in the center of Guatemala. And what a pain it was to get there!! The roads in Guatemala are REALLY bad, which makes travelling here a bit of a pain!! My patience is coming in very handy at the moment! Yet despite the burden of getting around here, our lucky star keeps on shining on us! Funny story: when we finally got to Cobán itself, a young lady comes running out of a hotel, where we got dropped off, and hands us some keys to a room that's all paid for! She says, “Do you need a hotel? Take my room!” and hands us over the keys to her hotel room! Crazy, but how perfect for us! The room wasn´t anything special, but hey better than being out on the streets at night! And after a well-rested night we checked out Cobán a bit. Not much to see, sort of a pit-stop before heading to Semuc Champey. So off we go!!
Dans cette ville, rien de special, on y est arrive a la nuit tombee, trouve un hotel pas cher dans une chambre bien pourrie, dormi etc.......... Et c est dans cette ville qu on a mange la premiere fois a pollo campero, plutot bon.
