Caracas, Venezuela
Why did we come here again?! I should've listened to a friend's advice and stayed away! Our stay in Caracas was short and sweet. I was actually quite disappointed because I was expecting a lot more from it. But it turned out to be just another big capital, with not much to see.
We strolled around the historic centre, tried some of the local specialties, including Venezuelan empanadas and arepas, and even caught a peek at an ongoing Chavez-related debate. Lucky for us, there was no tension left over from the results of the referendum.
Sightseeing in Caracas was so-so. What I found particularly interesting was all the Chavez propaganda all over the place. There was an odd feeling to the place, another first for me . . . Everywhere I looked it was Revolution this or Revolution that . . . What Revolution??!!
In any case, Caracas was pretty uninteresting . . . Not sure it was worth the LONG bus ride to get here!!! Ni modo! Ok, off we go, and another LONG commute to our next destination!!
Sauf si vous voulez depenser votre argent pour rien, n allez pas a Caracas, y a vraiment rien d interesant et meme quand vous demandez au gens ou on peut voir quelques choses de sympa ils ne savent pas.
