White Water Rafting Adventure
August 31, 2007
During the 45 minute excursion which included fourteen drops (a huge 7 metre waterfall) we only managed to loose one, don't worry he popped up shortly after the drop. The Kaituna River, which is said to be the world's highest commercially
rafted waterfall, is a grade 5 because of the 7 metre drop. I must say that I am thankful for my wet suit seeing how it was still winter when we attempted the waterfall. There was 8 of us rafting and 7 of us from the states. Rather funny to be in a foreign country and raft with almost all Americans. Sadly the photography company did not make it out so I do not have any pictures of my grand adventure. I do however have a picture of my guide but I can't remember his name. If you recognize him would you please tell him thank you for me. Sweet as. ( A phrase you will hear all the time over here. It means COOL- GREAT- AWESOME) I am down with the lingo.
