I found the world or did the world find me?

Soaring in the City of Sails

catamaran race
A cloudless windy day filled with ferry rides and exploration. The Harbour tour was worth the money and on a day such as this I would have gladly paid double. My only regret was not bringing my windproof jacket on the ride. I soaked in every moment of the crystal clear skies and phenomenal views. I watched catermarans race around the harbour and nearly tip over. I watched kids build sand castles in the sand. I walked barefoot along the shore and loved the cool crisp water when it splashed over my toes. I didn't mind when the wind whipped the hair in my face. I didn't mind getting lost in Devonport because I knew I wouldn't eventually find my way to the docks. It was amazing to swing on the shores of Devonport and gaze out at Rangitoto Island (an active volcano). There are not words to express the beauty I saw. Even the pictures do not do it justice. It was a glorious day.
