The City of Sails Shopping Scene

Yesterday, Tash and I, went out for a taste of the town. It is rather exspensive in comparison to the US. The 11% sales tax is already added into the price so that might be why it seems so hefty. It might also be that for every $1 NZD it is about $0. 75 USD. So the price I guess seems to balance out. But I must say the clothes and accessories are definitely pricey. There doesn't seem to be any shoes for less than $45 and shirts less than $20 but hey, what can I say, I am a frugal spender. And in the city of sails it is easy to spend lots of money. For lunch we ate at a Sushi Bar and I watched in admiration as my roommate ate the yummy looking food. My stomach doesn't handle the oils too well. For dinner we ate a Japanese Restraunt where we watched the drunk guys pee on the building and throw cups of dirt at the window below us. Let me just say if you want to get some good sleep do NOT sleep at a place on Queen's Street on the weekend. There were still drunks making lots of noise around 4 AM. Uggghhhh!
