Granada!
I got lost on my way to my hostel, had to call Christina and everything went weird after that. Seemed like I went the wrong way down a street, and by the time I got to my hostel (I got sidetracked by food and new people), I got it just in time. It was a room with (I think) seven other people. And yes, by the time this stay was done, I wanted nothing more than to not see another hostel again! After this one, the flooding in Madrid and Krakow...it was cheap hotels for me.
Christina and I did a bus tour of Granada, which was fun! I didn't get in to see the Alhambra this time, but I'd seen it back in '96. Ate at McDonalds once since nothing else was open- I had nuggets if I remember right. Got introduced to tapas, which I'm now obsessed with. Had seafood paella once and it was good!!
Spent enough time in bars, eating tapas and generally having a good time. I tried a mojito and remember saying "I'm a one-Mojito woman." That was my MySpace quote for quite a while.
Once my time in Granada was up, I took a bus to Malaga, ate dinner at the hotel and stayed the night, then flew to Basel, Switzerland.
