Vintage Shopping, Gay Pride Parades and such

Super fun, typical Parisian awesomeness ce weekend.
Thursday night I went over to Adelaide and Matthew's place for dinner -- lots of good baby time and I got to meet some of their other friends. Adelaide is an amazing super woman. She works full time, just finished her master's and is a new mom. Can't even fathom it. We had a great time chatting and eating. So nice to see friends. Adelaide and I didn't know each other in college, but we both went to Vanderbilt, so we have some common ground. :)
After dinner I headed to Mama Shelter, my new defacto awesome bar. It's a bit far out in the 20th, but it is SO FUN. Met up with my other girlfriends there and we enjoyed the most delicious cocktails. Strawberry basil mash? Mmmmm.
Around midnight as we were sitting out on the patio enjoying the warm Parisian night the table next to us declared, "MICHAEL JACKSON EST MORT!" Not really believing him we all took to our iphones and blackberries searching for the latest information. Once online we also realized Farrah Fawcett had died. Crazy night. After that little shocker we continued partying, playing and drinking and then set off for the Oberkampf area around 1:45. We party-hardied at a few places and met some of the strangest people (albeit gorgeous) I've ever met in my life.
Finally around 4am Sophie and I headed back to her place for a petit sleepover. Woke up the next morning to Sophie groaning, "Uurgggg, I didn't feel like shit when I went to sleep. I felt grrreat!" hahahah, isn't that the truth.
Went back to my place and quickly changed to meet my class for a fieldtrip to the Quai Branly. It's a missable museum in the 7th. Borrring.
Afterwards Brit, Sophie and I went back to school to work on our final papers. Exhausted from the night before we all stayed in that night, chit chatting back and forth.
Saturday morning I met up with Lina, who works at L'Oreal and we went vintage shopping in the Marais. SO MANY GREAT THINGS. I always have to give myself a number limit because otherwise I'm going to come home with about a million dresses. Got some great finds including an awesome dress from the 40s -- white with navy trim, perfect for the 4th of July.
Went home, dropped my things off and changed to head right back to the Marais to meet Brit and the gang for the gay pride parades. Party hardied with everyone in the streets till the wee hours, and then finally went home and crashed around 2am.
Sunday I just worked on my paper, and watch a little television. First time I'd honestly had my television on since my little brother was here in February. As soon as I turned it on it was about the Korea War -- exactly what my paper is on!! Creepy weird, love that stuff.
A wonderful last nromal weekend in Paris with some of my fav Parisian people. Next weekend is my true last weekend, but I'll have many visitors (Ali, my brother, Jen, etc) and won't really have time to just have a great typical Paris weekend with my friends. I'm not complaining though -- I cannot WAIT to see these people. :)
