8-14 Jun: Rurrenabaque and Pampas tour
Headed to Rurre in the Amazon basin to do the 3 day Pampas tour that a lot of travellers had been raving about. The pampas is kinda like some area near Darwin except they've got little aligators instead of big arse crocs like we've got. the highlight was the pink river dolphins that we kept passing us in the river.. i was hoping they'de put on a seaworlld style show for us but they only made brief appearances at the surface and my camera agility was up to scratch to snap one. Caught my first piranha!
My flight was delayed back to La Paz by a few days so I passed the time with the great danes and a hockey mate Dave (Dacka) from UNSW team in Sydney who i randomly bumped into. we managed to entertain ourselves with a mixture of football watching and karaoke bar crawls.
