17-19 Jun: Machu Pichu and Aguas Calientes

Opted out of the famous inca trail coz is was booked out till August... and got the train up instead. Headed up with Nick from the UK (previously met in Patagonia) in the afternoon of the 17th by combination of Bus, Collective, motor tricycle and train! Got up to the ruins in time for sunrise the next day but it the low cloud obscured the sun. The best bit was the view from the top of Waynapicchu... bit of a tough climb at that atlitude.
Got the morning train back to Cusco the next morning (19th) for the Aus/Brazil game.
