And then there was white

I am a little behind in my blog entries so I am going to write a few short ones to catch up.  Uyuni is a quiet town that is only on the travelers map because of its close proximity to the famous Bolivian salt flats.  The pizza in the hotel was the best yet in South America.

Almost everyone on the tour went to see the largest salt flat basin in the world.  On the way to the salt flats we stopped at a train graveyard and a one woman salf processing plat, neither of which were particularily entertaining.  Our SUV's brought us to an "island" which is really a hill in the middle of the salt flats covered in catcti.  They wanted us to pay to walk around the Island so most of us opted out. We had a beautiful sunny blue sky in the background of our optical illusion salt flat pictures.  The salt flats are a must do for anyone going to Bolivia.
