Um ... how do you get to Poland?
July 17, 2006
When we got to the stop in ÄŒadca, everybody got off the train, which worried me a bit. The conductor came by & said 'autobus, autobus' so I exited and looked for a bus, but I couldn't find anything that said "Krakow" on it. Thankfully she (the conductor) exited near where I was and directed me to a bus (which, incidentally, had no indications of where it was going posted anywhere on or near it). I was able to walk up the steps, but that was all the farther I made it, the bus was packed. So for 5-10 minutes I rode the bus, standing next to the front window, until enough people exited at the various stops, when I could sit. Eventually we crossed the Slovak/Polish border and ended up by another train (much nicer I might add) that said Krakow all over it, so, back in the train I go.
