London - day 4 (England day 5)

My final day in the UK. I was pretty sore from the long hike yesterday in Bristol, but that didn't keep me from walking miles & miles today too.
1) Abbey Road Studios. The graffiti on the wall & gates was actually quite interesting. It's amazing how one group could touch such a broad/global demographic, actually it was quite inspiring. Paul McCartney had just turned 64 a week earlier, so naturally there were plenty of variations of "When I'm 64".
2) People making an idiot of themselves trying to walk across the road in the manner of the Beatles on the Abbey Road album cover, but really all they were doing was holding up traffic.
3) Regent's Park
4) 221B Baker St.
5) In a pub, the second half of England v. Ecuador match - first round of the single-elimination tournament. England won 1-0 on a David Beckham penalty kick. The resulting tumult was quite awe inspiring.
6) To finish the day, BBC4 played Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me. I didn't really want to spend too much of my trip watching movies, but I figured it prudent to stay in as I had to get up early the next morning for my flight to Denmark, and Austin Powers while I was in London ... seemed to fit.
