Krakow - day 5 ... leaving Europe! :(

Well, my final hours in Europe. Ieva and I ate breakfast at a real dive-ey place, then got a cab to the main train station. I would get a train to the airport, and she to Warszawa & on to Lithuania. We got there early, and had a few hours to wait, and it was really an odd feeling, in that month, I had become accostomed to living out of a bag, and not knowing where my next night might be, and now after a 9 hour flight, I'd be back to "normal life" ... back to work. Of course, it's also possible that the odd feeling was due to the horrid high pitched squeal the automatic door made as it opened & closed in the cafe in which we were spending my last few hours in Europe! Man! that was excruciating every 30 seconds or so.
Ultimately I got to the airport, the line was super long and something was messed up with their computer system, and as I was trying to check in, with all the proper confirmation numbers and receipts, they couldn't recognize my ticket for some reason. They had to bring out some "higher-ups" to figure it out ... but all that is incidental, as I made it on the flight, and that arrived back in Chicago without incident.
