My parents and my sister visited me over the Christmas here in Singapore. We normally celebrate this season in the Philippines. This year is different because my brother and his family has left to Doha, Qatar to settle there. I decided to bring especially my parents to Singapore during Christmas for them not to miss too much of their two grandkids. I have to admit that I myself misses the kids too much that I don't want to go home this Christmas  too...

Anyway, after I brought my family to the usual places (Sentosa, Merlion, the Quays) I normally bring any friends who visit me here, my parents were interested to see the Botanical garden. I have not been to this place because I am not really a person who likes plants and flowers. So we hailed a taxi to the garden, and this place is huge. The Singapore Garden is a 63.7-hectare (157-acre) botanical garden in Singapore. It is open from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight every single day of the year, and does not charge an admission fee, except for the National Orchid Garden. The Orchid Garden actually is the highlight of this place. Needless to say, you still have to pay to see the best this place can offer. However, I would say every cent  paid is worth it. This place provides visitors endless beauty. This is where I realize I love flowers or atleast I realized that I am fascinated with orchids... Lol.

It was a worth visit, and this garden is my favorite place here in Singapore... well, next to Asian Civ Museum that is. :)
