Japanese Alps

Kamikochi Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Over the next few years we plan to travel the world and have given up our jobs and sold our home to fulfil this dream.

Japanese Alps

We took the bus to Kamikochi, a tourist town in the Japanese Alps.  We were hoping to camp in our tent but unfortunately it was raining heavily and we had heard there was a typhoon on the way.  So we decided to rent a small wooden camping bungalow.

In the afternoon we went to Myojin pond and also saw the famous Kappa bridge.  The following day we attempted to go for a trek in the hills and were making farely good progress when the weather took a turn for the worse again and unfortunately we had to turn back.

As the weather was so bad we decided to leave here earlier than planned and have an extra day in Tokyo.
