My boyfriend and I took BART into SF on a gloriously sunny day, people were everywhere...sprawled out along the Embarcadero whether on bikes, foot, in parks or on the steps of a building, in bikinis, shorts and tanks they were reading their books, eating fresh fish, taking a nap -simply soaking in one of those rare cloudless sunny days in San Francisco.
We headed over to O'Neil's Irish Pub on Beach Street at literally the end of the stroll to Ghiradelli Square for a beer tasting event called "Around the World in 80 Beers" www.aroundtheworldin80beers.net Select beers were chosen for tasting in honor of Independence Day-all brewed within the United States. The event lasted from 4-6pm with beer, appetizers and lots of very nice people all with similiar taste bud interests. :)
We then headed over to Lori's Diner for some burgers & fries, and moved on to Fidler on the Green Tavern, ultimately ending up at Jack's Cannery for some more beer and good ol' pool.
We caught the Sunset along the pier with the Golden Gate in the background during our stroll, it may have been one of the best sunsets I've seen in the bay in a very long time. Everytime I go to the city-I can honestly say that I take in more of it's beauty and unique character with each breathe
Words that come to mind after this day are, beautiful, blessed, peaceful and sweetness.
I love the Bay Area.
