The Summary
This was a short day trip to DeSoto Caverns in Childersburg, Alabama in April. Per my parents’ recommendation, I went to DeSoto Cavern to see what all the hoopla was about. I was told that the main room is twelve stories high, and larger than a football field. The caverns are noted for one of the largest accumulations of onyx-marble stalagmites and stalactites in the United States.
