Cairngorms National Park

It's really pretty here when you can see the mountains  :)  And on those days I  certainly took advantage of exploring. And on the days that it was shit I took advantage of the sauna that they have here. As soon as I get in I feel like I am at home again :)

One night they took us to a "Scottish night" at the local community center and there were guys/gals dressed in the traditional Scottish dress (kilts and whatnot) and they made us participate in the dancing. It was good craic!

Another night I went to a play about John Muir's life. Apparently he grew up about 20 miles from where I am staying. Crazy! I didn't even know he was Scottish. But it was quite funny because the Scottish family I was staying with knew he was from around there but didn't know that he spent most of his life in the states. ha!
