Hayden Powell`s (trumpet) New Orleans Band. Great tradjazz concert 29 July.
I experienced Hayden Powell`s New Orleans Band at St. Olavs Festival last year, and they really highend the temperature by their audience. I listened to them last year and I really liked the band , I had to listen to them this year to, and they did not dissapoint me.
The band was started for St. Olavs Festival in Trondheim in 2006, and by popular demand it has been going since.
Concert is for free outside the festival Hotel Britannia. Hayden Powell is a free lance trompet player who lives in Trondheim. He works mainly with jazz and is a good improvoser. The band mixes trad jazz with their own ideas, and the results is very good.
