If you look closely you can see the rollercoaster ride !!
Today is monday and i am currently sat outside in the middle of a camp site, it is 2030hrs and it is dark !! This will take a bit of getting used too.  We may even have to resort to playing cards by torchlight. However, enough of that for now. Yesterday (the day of rest i believe) we did not rest at all. We ventured down the strip again, only this time as we had learnt our lesson from friday, we did not walk but took the monorail monorail monorail (that bit is for Caz, reference from the Simpsons). We went to many of the other hotels to look round, although the hotels we visited coincidently had rollercoasters !!! The first one was on top of the New York New York hotel !! Therefore even before the ride had  started you were already 4 storeys up.
Simon. Simon and Jimmy !!
I had a moment of illeteracy at each ride, Si said there was a sign saying something about those with a heart something or other should not ride. They always say that. We eventually went on the rolercoaster at the Circus Circus hotel twice and then one
at our hotel Sahara when it was dark. So for those intending to come to Las Vegas here is Si and my assessment of each, the New York one was the longest but least exhilarating with a good beginning and a mediocre ending, although i found it being on the roof quite fun. The Circus one was
indoors which made it quite unique, it packed a lot of excitement into a small space with two full loops and a double twist, this one was Sis' favourite. However, you do have to put up with a lot of familys and screaming annoying children.
The roads went on and on and on ...
The Sahara was my favourite, as soon as you left the terminal
it was pushing you back in your seat with the G-force, at the end of the line you have a long vertical bit, that takes you up about 100ft and it doesn't look as if you are going to stop, but shoot off into the air (no double entenders Daniel, please). During our research Si and myself did discover that
rollercoasters are a very good cure for hangovers, although on the first one I was worried that Si was going to throw up all over me. If all of you reading this are wondering where Caz was during all this fun and excitement, she was being a wuss and playing on the amusement arcades. We did try to blackmail her, but even the promise of playing crazy golf wasn't enough !!! (although Americas version of crazy golf is more like slighty worried golf).
41c ! So we had a picnic !!

Then last night we went to the casino again ( I soon regretted that). After only 90 minutes of playing, for the 2 nights I ended up $40 down (the previous night I was $20 up), Si was $5 up and Caz was evens. But it was a really good laugh if you don't take it too seriously, stick to your limits and have a really cool croupier.
Today we got up and left the hotel at 9am. We have travelled 400 miles in 9 hours, through deserts with their oh so long and straight roads (see the pictures), had a picnic in the desert (how british is that, it was 40 degrees !!), then over mountains and through Yosemite, with it's winding roads, really slow numpty drivers and driving rain. I was knackered at the end of it. So here we are now, I am sitting here typing this and my bloody sausage sandwich keeps falling apart, mmmm barbecues !! I will be back with more stories soon. x
p.s. Si may be angry with me as I think I have got his keyboard greasy, well he did offer me his sausage !!) p.p.s This is being placed on the website on thurs 30th as there was no internet access in Yosemite we could use.
