playa del carmen is another small, seaside tourist town.  what sets it apart from others like it, is that it does not posess the "old world" charm , but the refinements and tastes of many contemporary international influenzes.  gorgeous ocean side villas, hotels, and beautifully appointed restaurants boasting multicultural foods.  the town is also the site where one can take the short ferry ride to cozumel.

the beach was tranquil, even spotted some nude sunbathers.  i heard so many different tongues being spoken - brazilian and french, german, polish.  i don't know what it is about play del carmen that attracts so many international tourists and divers - but it does make one feel as though they were in a mediterranean village...due to my massive sunburn, i laid in one of the beach chairs, under a "palapa," and photographed and napped.  it was a very pleasent end to my third night in mexico.

later that evening we all got together for our last dinner, to reflect on the things we had seen in the past couple days, and adventures we had.

though short, this was an exhilerating trip and i discovered so much beauty - even happier yet to have spent it with a wonderful man.
