Disneyland and California Adventure Park
May 20, 2005
disneyland remains unchanged, suppose that is one of the things i truly like about it. our first rides were "pirates of the caribbean" and "haunted mansion" and by four that afternoon we were headed to the adventure park to check into the "hollywood hotel." i thought i was going to die, as the 'elevator' dropped us what seemed like hundreds of feet into the twilight zone... i hope i continue to seek thrills and adventure as the years go by, as i do notice the loss of that sense of enchantment with every passing age. but i am still truly awed by fireworks. what an incredible display of lights in the sky, that went on for what seemed a half of an hour, seen from the comfort of our hotel room...courtesy of disney. :) we fell into bed exhausted from tired legs and hours in the sun. tired from the screaming and the laughing and the happy moments. next morning we rose early to have lunch at "duke's" in huntington beach. it was a beautiful day with a view by the window of the people frolicking on the beach, and the surfers at play.
