We stopped briefly at Sztutowo (Stutthoff, in German) which is the location of the first concentration camp. There is a museum there that can be visited, but it was closed today so we just continued on until we reached Piaski. At that point we were about 3 kms from the Russian border. There is a road all the way to the border, but I didnâ€™t see it and it didnâ€™t make much sense to continue as we would have just had to back up anyway since we donâ€™t have visas for
In Piaski we were surprised to see wild boars out on the street and on the side of the road foraging for food. There still aren't many tourists around at this time of year, so the animals are probably more comfortable being out and about. I took a few pictures of them from the car. The whole area is beautiful with green forests and the bay in the background.
