Ladies' Eighties

I lived in Ohio's capital for about 8 years. There are a ton of restaurants to choose from in the Columbus area, and plenty else to do besides. Here are a few of my favorites, plus a few other things here and there, in case you need to grab a bite or just want to visit C-bus. **a work in progress**

Ladies' Eighties

A great night out with the girls! A bar on High Street in the Short North called Skully's has a ladies' night every Thursday. They play Eighties' music, ladies get in free all night and there are drink specials. We had dinner at Vino Vino beforehand, and met some others out at the bar. People go all out for this. Big hair, leg warmers, retro cartoon tees, you name it. If you are a child of the 80's, you'll definitely feel at home!

Fantastic restaurant!! Italian cuisine, small and medium plates, great for sharing. Examples include a cheese plate, bruschetta, salads, mozzerella and tomatoes, and several kinds of thinner crusted pizzas. Great wine selection! Order by the glass, or share a bottle. The atmosphere is quiet and classy, without being stuffy. (Contrast it to a place like Buca de Beppo, which is also fun, but is a different kind of Italian restaurant - busy and boisterous.) The service at Vino Vino is also excellent. The prices are really reasonable - 3 or 4 people can eat and share a bottle of wine for $10 to $15 apiece.
