Good old fashioned beer fest

Yep the cliches continue. Not much was done today since most of the day was spent nursing a rather sore head. The best thing to cure this we decided was to venture out into the beer festival which happened to be starting right outside our hostel. Nice. I´ve gotta say most of the people there were actually british having a good old piss up. We were most disgusted to find a Fosters tent where people were actually forking out the 4euros for a might shit beer. Can´t believe Fosters is our beer representative.
Wandering up and down this festival which was over a km long, we tried some cherry beer which wasnt all that bad. The best one was the raspberry beer. It actually had berries in it and made for great fun getting them out of the glass. Did the usual like had a Bratwurst but we were overjoyed to have found a dutch pancakes stand. that was one of the things we were going to do in Amsterdam but couldn´t for the lives of us find any. Just like trying to find tea and scones in London. V disapointing. But the cravings for the little pancakes were satisfied and we headed back home.
Catching the bus the next morning was pretty funny, not because we had had too much to drink the night before but because others had. As we got to the metro (at 7am mind you), there was a guy still drinking by the station. As we staggered by with out packs he started yelling "Goodbye Berlin! Goodbye Germany!" which seemed like a fitting end to the city. Even funnier than this was at the other end of the metro where a guy was passed out in a flower bed with only one shoe. All you could see was his feet and a very unimpressed ambo officer sitting next to him. Ah Berlin...
