Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar

I live and work in the Washington, DC, metro area. I'll use this blog to introduce you to the many neighborhoods and sights in the District of Columbia. We'll visit some little-known spots around Washington and see the famous ones, too! So, come on along as we explore The District. I'll be continually adding more to it, check back!
Sonma Restaurant and Wine Bar offers a touch of casual sophistication on Capitol Hill. The interesting menu features wood grilled meats and seafood prepared with natural ingredients. Sonoma serves its main dishes as combinations of moderately porportioned "firsts" and "seconds".

Signature personal-size pizzas are available in "red", "white" or "green" (pesto) with a variety of unique toppings, including forest mushrooms, Amish chicken, and homemade wild boar sausage. There are burgers, too, served on a brioche bun.

Sonoma is, of course, also a wine bar, with than 40 different American and European wines served by the glass.

A wine lounge is on the second floor (reservations required).
