Advice to the Professors

1.  we take a lot of time off in Floripa and Iguazu, and then have a
very busy week in Curitiba.  is this a worthwhile tradeoff?

Absolutely, Curitiba isn't that interesting anyways.

2.  Would you prefer to reduce the number of places we visit in
brazil, and have less travel time?

Hmm..if I thought it were feasible to take out the whole visit to Sao Paulo I would, but since I know it's a major economic site..no.

3.  How do you rate the housing?  Do the benefits of the residencia
(other students and location) outweigh the cramped space?  how do you
rate the housing in Brazil??

Living in the residencia was the best for me.  Honestly, having the cramped space at first makes us appreciate the hotel later.  At the same time we miss all our friends and comradery at the residencia.  Leave as is.

4.  Would you prefer a final project or term paper to the blogs?  are
there too many personal blogs?

No, blogs are good.  I would suggest only 2 blogs per week but expect more from them.  That way people don't throw together crap and actually take their time on them.

Overall I loved the study abroad and would recommend it to just about anyone.  Personally I would emphasize to the students the importance of spending as much time with the Argentines/Brasilians as possible..instead of with eachother.  Coke funding was amazing.  Definitely liked the optional final system...thought it genius.  I'd also like to personally thank both you professors.. I didn't expect it to be this great.  You both rock!
