Robert Langdon, world-renowned symbologist, awakens to the news that Jacques Sauniere, the curator of the Louvre, is dead. To complicate matters, he was supposed to meet with Sauniere later that night, and thus becomes a primary suspect in the murder case. Enter Sophie Neveu, a brilliant and, naturally, beautiful cryptologist who comes to his rescue. Together they engineer an amazing escape from the top floor of the Lourve, and set out on their quest to decipher the cryptic clues surrounding Sauniere's death.
