I went scuba diving and snorkeling there, which is considered one of the best diving spots in the world. Its also a partying location, and there were "magic mushrooms", tons of bars, and some cool looking turtles.
I have a video of me scuba diving, which is here: Scuba Dive
We also saw weaving, hand made Sarongs. The place let me try it, and these women spend their entire day making these.
Another great feature of Lombok is the Banyumulek Pottery.
Some other cool parts were driving through the jungle, tasting some of the palm spring sugury waters, as well as feeding the wild monkeys from the roads.
As you can see from google maps, there are some amazing geographic features, especially the volcanic regions. If I wanted to go on that, I would have needed to have more time, and plenty of malaria shots!!
There were also times where we drove through the jungle - and saw some of the more local regions, which was less touristy. There - we had the opportunity to pet some of the cutest monkeys, and feed them. They ultimately got annoying, but it was fun at the time!
