Rooster Warriors at the Golden Temple.

We met a great guy named Tim Cappon at the hostel and he was nice enough to show us around in our hazzy mental states.  Tim spent the last 3 months in Nepal, trekking and volunteering at an orphanage there.

We went to the Golden Temple, pictures below, which was beautiful.  The heat though really kicked my butt. When we arrived at the airport at 1am it was 86 degrees and humid.  During the day it was worse.  I was walking a thin line of heat stroke, between the lack of sleep, time change and heat.

After getting back to the hostel, showering and eating, Megan and I went around the corner for some Thai Massages.  The place was beautiful.  They washed our feet, gave us tea, gave us soft clothes to wear then really worked us.  After that, we came back to the hostel and crashed.  I'm finally feeling less hazzy. Megan feels better too, with the exception of a slight sore throat.

We've decided to leave early.  Tim's going to join us and we're heading down the coast to the beaches.

Sorry about not getting the street shot. I'll try and get one when we get back there at the end.

I don't think I'll ever live down what Clare Danes said about the Philippines (the cinematic stand-in for Thailand in Brokedown Palace).

Meg,

Looks like you are having a great time. Just remember the movie Brokedown Palace.

Love you lots,
