Arrival in Germany

After a 7 hr 10 min flight from DC and an hour flight from Amsterdam, I arrive in Berlin. So happy and excited to be in Germany! More than I expected to be...

Tonight after dinner I met Emma and Jacqui from Australia by way of the UK and Francis from Vancouver and Carmen from Quebec...then Debbie and her husband Bobby from Baltimore. Jacqui, Emma, Francis, Carmen and I went to the Generator hostel next door to the hotel and drank beer and watched an Irish and a French rugby team celebrate victory and defeat, respectively. They sang and danced and drank Euro style. The Irish guys wore random hats. One fell on the floor. No one noticed so I picked it up and put it on while Jacqui snapped photos.
