Deliades Hotel Mykonos

Mykonos Travel Blog › entry 2 of 3 › view all entries

A summary of my travels in Greece last summer. Spending three weeks traveling from Athens to Mykonos, Santorini, and Lesbos, I will be adding entries in chronological order. Mostly, it's just so I don't forget the smells, sounds, sights, and people picked up along the way.

Fancy Place, Nice People
A little pricy, but private and quiet, Deliades Hotel Mykonos is minutes away from the beach. However, the beach it is minutes away from is mapped out in mazes of pay-for chairs, leaving no room for the low-on-cash traveler.
In the town of Ornos, Deliades is a bit out of the way from the more popular beaches (paradise, super paradise, mykonos city) but all are within a short cab ride or dingy ride away.
The staff are super nice and really cool to hang out with. They'll give you suggestions about where the happening beaches are of any particular night and can help not get you trapped handing out more money then you need.
Beautiful rooms! Outstanding views from each room (most over the Ornos beach). Gorgeous pool, but who need a pool when you have the ocean at your doorstep?
Overall, wonderful stay for those who can afford it.
When I travel low budget next time, I wouldn't stay here :/
