Once again, I venture forth on a trip around the USA via Amtrak. This time I head West and will travel through 17+ states. Having never been out West, looking forward to the scenery that only it can provide. First stop is Grand Junction, CO.

Depart Toledo

I board the Capitol Limited in Toledo heading towards Chicago. After a 4 hour  layover, board the California Zephyr for a 24 hour trip to Grand Junction, CO.

Have a great trip. I took the same trip starting in Chicago a few years ago. It was my first sight of the western states as well. WOW. I came back home across the top of the country. Montana blew me away. A great way to travel, meet so many people from all over the world in this travel mode. Enjoy
