Once again, I venture forth on a trip around the USA via Amtrak. This time I head West and will travel through 17+ states. Having never been out West, looking forward to the scenery that only it can provide. First stop is Grand Junction, CO.

Arrive Albuquerque, NM

Had a very nice drive to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Interstate 25. Checked into the hotel, ate at a very nice Mexican restaurant and headed for bed. I think all this driving is catching up to me. It will be nice to get back on the Amtrak and let somebody else do the driving for awhile.

I was a little disappointed in Santa Fe, but it could be that I am a bit tired and didn't have the energy to really explore the city. I will have to make a point to come back and truly explore Santa Fe. At least I did get to see some of the things I had planned.
