I would check the average temperatures in those months. If I were to choose a better month from the two it may be March. April will probably be cold and wet, whereas at least you may see the snow in March. That's how it is in St Petersburg, but Moscow's temperature/weather may be a little different.

Who knows what the situation with Russia will be next year, but at the minute it is really cheap here for foreigners because of the exchange rate. But maybe next year oil prices will be higher (most important) and sanctions will have ended. Then the rouble will probably get a bit stronger again.

Hello! I am looking at your photos again of Russia and your family! Anyways, I am looking at airfares to Moscow from LA. My husband and I will most likely visit Russia on March - April next year! I don't mind if there's still snow by that time. Its what I always imagine Moscow (or Russia in general) to be anyway. So, I don't mind if its (bitterly) cold!
