The one with the red windows... Where? Up there! Up there?!!!
April 25, 2007
*This new entry, I am writing on this February evening 200...9!!
I find it fun to reminisce that journey...
Since 3 more have followed!
This first trip was great : we were all on holidays!
Me, obviously! Celine was out of work at that time and Nath 6 months pregnant so not working too.
They wanted to enjoy their "forced" holidays and I was just too glad to help them with that! ;) *
Massat is a tiny wee village on the way to the Pyrennees.
This is where Nathalie's family owns a cozy old country house which has traditionally been used by the family
and the friends of the family as an escape to the busy life of the city (or for those in need of a remote place to enjoy some great parties!)
3 girls together. No boyfriend around. It had to be our next stop!!! :)
Massat is about 2 hours drive from Toulouse.
Yep, well, as I mentionned, the country house is in the Pyrennees mountains and back then, when they built these houses,
I guess nobody really was driving cars, if it had even been invented!
Nice, quiet, very remote house. And the one at the top of the hill!
Yep, not the one by the road.
Not the one just above the road.
No, the one right at the very top of the hill!!!
Ah well, at least, the view will be pretty!
Yep, well, as I mentionned, 3 girls together...
How many ups and downs have we made to carry all the stuff??
Lucky we were going only for 3 days!!! :)
So, we climbed the hill and carried the luggageSSS
and cleaned the place
and started the boiler (all by ourselves!!! ... ok, with only one phone call to Nath's brother!)
and we changed the gas bottle (all by ourselves!!! ... ok, and with only one phone call to Nath's mum to let her know how proud we were we managed this by ourselves!)
and we've picked up woods and started a nice, sparkling log fire (all by ourselves!!! ... that, at least, I couldn't missed being from the land of woods!)
and put our feet up.
It was a great evening.
In our pyjies, by the fire, chitchating just like girls do!
A bit damp the place but the warmth of friendship blew that away.
